Indonesia agricultural productivity at present is sloing down and entering into a critical stage of shortage of food supply. This condition combined with the population groth has made Indonesia dependent on the import of food commodities.

In fact, potentially, Indonesia can become big exporter of tropical agricultural product. This is due to the reality that Indonesia has a large scale of land for tropical agriculture. For this, Indonesia needs to generate more productive economic activities to raise people welfare. Furthemore, Indonesia needs to optimize the comperative advantage in agricultural sector such as : plantation, food, horticulture, husbandary, including agroindustry.
